Portfolio

The mix and composition of an investor's holdings among different classes of assets, such as bonds, mortgages, and common stocks. The combined holdings of more than one stock, bond, money market instrument, commodity, collectible, or real estate investment. An individual investor might have a portfolio that includes several of these investments, while the manager of an equity mutual fund will manage a portfolio that is primarily made up of stocks.
